External-Dimension: Mainframe (EDM) is an action platformer inspired by Megaman Zero. However it has moved away from that original concept with more of a focus on technical depth with its various movement options, fast paced gameplay and two distinct gameplay sections.
External-Dimension: Mainframe started off as a Senior College project made in Adobe Flash CS5 under the ActionScript3 language. Originally the game was to be a very difficult platformer similar to Super Meat Boy or I Want to Be The Guy. The gameplay was much slower paced and did not have many of the movement options that are present in the game now. As time went on the project was moved away from Flash and redubbed Project Zero with a complete revision on the visual aesthetic of the game. During these early stages EDM shifted away from being a difficult platformer and shifted over to focusing on the movement and feel of the game.

Creative Virtual Magic is a US based independent game studio made by Vanish Mantle who’s focus is to create games that we would play personally. If it isn’t fun to us it won’t be fun for those who we would want to experience our games.
Origins
Our name is based on a simple concept, Games are like magic. We are capable of experiencing new worlds challenges and seeing different perspectives thanks to gaming. The games we make are all made with that in mind. They need to be fun for not just the players but for us who make them.
